Keeping and Eye on The Watchmen

There's a LOT of talk about "what you did in high school" in the news lately and well - what I remember doing when "I was in high school" was reading a LOT of comic books. The Watchmen, back in the 80's, wasn't just a "comic book" - it was a "graphic Novel" - dark, serious and filled with imagery that not everyone could or want to imagine. In 2009, a feature film with the same title was released and one wonders - what's the difference between the book and the movie?
